Starlink Included: Camp365 Markets ‘T-Model’ EV Truck Bed Camper
The newly unveiled T Model from Camp365 begs the question: Do electric trucks really need their own campers? This latest addition to the company’s pickup-camper lineup is “tailored specifically for electric vehicles,” offering a “streamlined form” that minimizes air drag to conserve energy.
Of course, that seems like a good idea for any truck-camper. But the T Model’s roomy interior advertises room for four to five people, comes with plenty of features, and, according to the brand, expands in “just minutes.”
If you own a Rivian R1, Tesla Cybertruck, Ford Lightning, or another popular mid-size truck, the T Model was developed specifically with those vehicles in mind.
At present, Camp365 only released animations and renderings of the T-Model. Once a reality, it will be among “the most spacious campers in the EV-truck category,” Camp 365 CEO Kevin McGregor claimed in a press release.
Camp 365 T Model: Features
Sized at 4 feet by 7 feet, this compact unit is designed to fit most half-ton pickups. With a weight ranging from 700 to 800 pounds based on selected options, it offers a 63-square-foot interior space capable of accommodating four to five campers, the company said.
It borrows elements from CAMP365’s original model, a pull-behind camper released in 2018. The T Model, however, can fit comfortably in a residential garage, with “easy attachment and detachment from truck beds,” according to the press release.
With insulated walls, it’s also meant for adventures throughout the year. And like many modern campers, amenities abound.
The T Model sports a 24-gallon water tank, induction cook top, hot-water shower, toilet, an interior/exterior table, electric heater, and an air conditioner — all powered by solar panels.
