Hotel Room on Wheels: Live the Van Life With Cabana x Eddie Bauer
The new program puts van life on the map as a branded and rentable experience. Each adventure van, which can provide users with 3 to 5 days of off-grid living, will include Eddie Bauer-branded bedding, accessories, and optional rental gear. To start, Eddie Bauer trim and add-on gear will be available in five Cabana sprinter vans.
“Customers can start their Pacific Northwest adventure making coffee with Eddie Bauer’s Stanley French Press, break out a game of cornhole at their campsite, and spend the night cozying up in Eddie Bauer’s softest Oversized Down Throw with mountains, lakes, or coastal views right outside,” the company stated in its April 7 announcement.

Every Cabana comes equipped with a queen bed, gear storage, 24-inch TV, shower, toilet, slide-out kitchen, sink, heater and ceiling fan, Wi-Fi, and more.
In addition to that setup, the adventure van package adds the following:
- Eddie Bauer bedding (including their softest Oversized Down Throw)
- Lantern
- Eddie Bauer’s Stanley French Press & Camp Cups
- Portable cornhole game
- Portable ring toss game
- Camp table
- Packable tote
Customers can specify additional adventure gear they’d like added to the package when they book.
A Collaboration That Makes Sense
The two brands have a lot in common. Both are based out of Seattle and are firmly planted in the adventure market. And both come from decidedly opposite ends of the market.
Eddie Bauer is one of the great legacy outdoor brands, and it’s been around a lot longer than 3-year-old Cabana. Cabana falls into the same “tech” category as Airbnb or GoCamp with its digital service platform.
The service side of the collaboration is somewhat new to the soft goods brand, but it’s not altogether unfamiliar. Last summer, Eddie Bauer broke into gear rental services. Working with Cabana elevates the exposure of both its goods and rental services to the van-curious consumer.
On the flip side, the collaboration adds a higher-end option to Cabana’s list of packages.
To reserve a van rental, head to cabana.life/eddiebauer. Select “Eddie Bauer Cabanas” from the booking dropdown menu, enter the desired travel dates, and complete the standard checkout process. Then, access your reservation and manage your trip through the Cabana App.
And here’s a bonus for pet parents: all Cabana campervans are dog-friendly — though a $100 pet fee will apply to the reservation.
Prices will vary according to dates and packages, but they appear to run between $260 and $300 per night.
